MOTOR COMPLICATIONS OF HERPES ZOSTER

Motor involvement is uncommon in herpes zoster. Of 14 subjects observed over an arbitrary period of five years, nine had flaccid limb paralyses, involving the upper limb in eight patients. Recovery was not always complete and occurred over a period of nine weeks to four years.
